MotorOne Group exhibit at industry event, AADA
Last week wrapped up what was another successful expo at AADA (Australian Automotive Dealership Association).
What is now our 14th year exhibiting, and our 3rd year as a Principal Sponsor of this trade event, our message this year was all about communicating that as a group ‘We’ve now got a solution for every touchpoint in your dealership’.
What this means for our clients (car dealerships) is that historically they may know us for our leading aftermarket products such as paint protection, window tint, and vehicle electronics. Today, in addition to car care, we have so much more to take advantage of.
As a group, MotorOne now offer a plethora of digital services that enhance a car buyer’s experience at a dealership, plus, we have the largest network of mobile scratch and dent repair vans as well as fixed repair sites around the country. What this means for dealers is that we are a one-stop-shop business partner that can offer the car buyer so much value when they’re investing in a new car.
Luke Weekley, our Head of Digital Sales, presented at a 30 minute workshop about the importance of delivering a better customer experience. Targeted communication via various mediums, at different points in the customer lifecycle, helps to ensure lasting relationships and maximised opportunity.
One of the highlights of our presence was our custom built retro arcade style VR game ‘MotorZone’. Attendees could play a series of re-invented arcade games – basketball hoops, Dentinator (a play on the ‘whack-a-mole’ game), and a duck-shooting style game where the aim is to target seagulls with a water pistol. Lots of fun!
We had a visit from TV Presenter Grant Denyer who tried his hand at the VR game, and General Sir Peter John Cosgrove, AK, CVO, MC who said hello to the team. The most memorable part of the expo, however, was the MotorOne sponsored breakfast with guest speaker Dr Richard Harris SC OAM. His re-telling of the rescue of the Thailand soccer team gave the audience an insight into just how dangerous the operation was, and how brave the crew (and the boys) were. An inspirational story for all that attended.
Of the automotive industry and the theme of AADA – 2020 and beyond – our COO Glenn Sharp, said “We’re seeing much change in our industry, and I’m sure you’ll agree, there’s risks attached if we don’t take notice because sometimes the things we can’t change end up changing us.”.
Check out some snaps of our stand, the team, and the MotorOne sponsored breakfast with Dr Richard Harris SC OAM.
